Huawei rivalling Samsung with Foldable Smartphone Mate X

Huawei unveils its first foldable phone Huawei Mate X. Which comes with premium specifications, unfold out become a tablet, provides additional screen realization. The phone, undoubtedly, launched against the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which was launched recently, which has a different design than  Mate X, although it also unfolds to reveal a larger screen. Huawei has been rivalling against Samsung quite often recently with affordable smartphones for the same specifications.

The two phones have different in design but they want to catch the same premium group customers. The unfolded design is approximately the same. Without any display notch system, unfolded Mate X gives 8 inch OLED full view display which is comprised of two full view display panels with sizes 6.6 inches and 6.38 inches. For photos, videos and infographics the Huawei Mat X has two-in-one front and rear triple cameras set.

Galaxy Fold in compare with Mate X has two screens at front and backs and it folded out into a large screen. Galaxy Fold comes with only one front screen. It opens and closes like a notebook to resemble two screens inside it. It has notch design on the inside and triple rear camera setup which fixes at the back. The front camera is a triple camera set that gives a total of six cameras.

These are the first generation of the foldable phone with a unique design. It will not be cheap until new competitors reached the market.
Galaxy Fold is the most expensive Samsung flagged smartphone its price is forecasted approx. 140,000 in Indian currency. This will be available in both 4G and 5G variant.
Huawei Mate X is even more expensive. The global set price is 2,999 Euro (Approx. 185,000 Indian rupees) for 8GB RAM / 512GB ROM variant. This will be available in 5G as demonstrated.

Specifications (Huawei Mate X vs Galaxy Fold)
Mate X has the dual SIM slot, which runs on Android 9 Pie update with UI 9.1.1, on the other hand, Galaxy Fold also runs on Android 9 but it uses its own user interface.
Mate X has no display notch, it features two full view display panels that jointly make it 8-inch OLED full view display panel. When unfolded the 8-inch display makes a 2480x2480 pixels resolution.
The unfolded Galaxy Fold provides the only 7.2-inch display with a cutout of its selfie camera and the resolution of larger AMOLED panel is set at 1536x2152pixels less than that of Mat X.
Mat X is an official 5G smartphone, Huawei has used its own Huawei Balong 5000 5G chipset which is patented with a mountation of 100 others parts. It is the world’s first 7nm modem which is capable of delivering up to 4.6 Gbps of downlink and 2.5Gbps of uplink speeds. It also includes quad 5G antenna on the handset. It is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM which can be expanded to 256GB. 
Samsung has not unveiled the processor on Galaxy Fold, but revealed that it is based on 7nm, tipped with Snapdragon 855 SoC. It has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM. Storage can’t be expanded. Till date, Samsung has not listed as a 5G phone.
